Imposter Syndrome is REAL!

Imposter syndrome: noun; the persistent inability to believe that one's success is deserved or has been legitimately achieved as a result of one's own efforts or skills.

I never knew this is what I've been feeling ALL this time... not about my life or my career, just my voice.

That continuous feeling of "why would anyone care what I have to say or what I do."

I felt like an imposter because I didn’t feel successful enough to share my experiences, but now I’ve realized that success is a journey, and you don’t have to wait till the end of your journey to have a voice.

I'm sure that many people, if not everybody has felt this way at one time.

It has taken me four long years to finally post my blog because of this feeling.

I really wanted to bring attention to this topic because we are all on our own unique journey and everyone’s voice matters. Everyone.

I have met amazing people throughout my professional soccer journey so far, and I’ve learned so much by just listening to their stories.

… on that note, I know that I have stories and experiences that can help other people in similar situations or even enlighten anyone who is curious about what it’s like to be a professional athlete.

I’m thankful I’ve come to the realization that my voice does matter, and that speaking up can help people realize they are not alone. Being able to help one-hundred people or even just one person is a gift that I am ready to share.

That’s why I’ve created this blog as a safe space for people to ask personal questions and to get some behind the scenes knowledge of this lifestyle.

Be willing to speak up!
